Our Story
The HOB ZA was founded in 2004 by 2 Harvard students as a way to help our fellow college students connect. By 2006 The HOB had grown into the world's largest social network.
No wait; that wasn't us...
We founded our company in 2021 to get the coolest smart home tech into the homes of everyday South Africans like us.
Our Vision
We started our company with one simple vision for our customers:
'Sit on your couch and control the house.'
Who are we?
The HOB is really just a company made up of normal South Africans. We still get excited when we come across new gadgets and we still get shocked when we see how fast technology is moving.
At our core we really are just a team of people who want to have fun doing business and who want our customers to do the same whenever they interact with us.
