Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 - Aqara Hub Not Required

Aqara's FP2 Presence Sensor uses state-of-the-art millimetre wave radar technology that can accurately detect the presence of people even when there is little movement. It also has a zone positioning feature that allows different conditions in different zones, such as beds and tables, to be automated. A room can now be divided up to 30 small zones and detect up to five targets (multi-person detection).

The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 (2.4GHz Wi-Fi only) outperforms traditional PIR motion sensors by using a single radar sensor to monitor areas up to 40㎡ (430 sq ft). Create up to 30 zones (e.g., sofa, bed, desk) and assign custom automations to each. It combines the functions of multiple PIR sensors in one. Note: Use a 5V⎓1A power adapter (not included) and keep the product continuously powered during use.

The mmWave Presence Sensor FP2 can detect up to 5 people at the same time and trigger different scenarios and automation. Mount it on the ceiling to enable Fall Detection Mode, which sends alerts via the app if a fall is detected. (Note: Fall Detection Mode works only when ceiling-mounted.) For a stable connection, ensure the sensor is placed within 6 meters (19 feet) of your router.

The presence sensor uses millimeter-wave radar to accurately detect human presence. You can define interference areas in the application, exclude objects such as plants, curtains, or pets, and set the filter height to ignore fan movement or crawling pets, ensuring that human presence is accurately detected. No camera is required, ensuring maximum privacy. With an IPX5 waterproof rating, FP2 is also ideal for humid environments like bathrooms.

 The Aqara Presence Sensor is exposed as multiple sensors to HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home and Home Assistant. (Note: The device can be added directly to Home Assistant using HomeKit Controller integration. Please connect the FP2 to Aqara Home before enabling skills in Google Home and Alexa.) You can integrate the smart motion sensor easily without requiring an Aqara hub, which is a great solution for smart home enthusiasts. 

Support independent living with smart elderly care. The FP2 detects unusual inactivity and triggers alerts if no movement is sensed within a set time. Non-wearable sleep monitoring tracks sleep duration, stages, heart rate, and respiration, enabling personalized automations like custom wake-up scenes. It also syncs live positions to the cloud and uses AI to analyze movement patterns, helping assess well-being and provide families with timely care insights.

The Aqara FP2 has a built-in light sensor, which provides greater flexibility and enjoyment when creating lighting automations (Only available in Aqara Home, HomeKit, and IFTTT). Moreover, automations of FP2 are executed without sending to the cloud and will keep working even if there is no internet connection. (Note: recommended distance between the router and the FP2 is no more than 393 inches, without any obstacles.)
